Those who ignore handicap parking are ignorant

By Gary Shaporka 4 min read

Have you had enough of disregard from uncaring and ignorant people? There are so many circumstances concerning people paying little or no attention to what is the appropriate rules to follow in life. These “Yahoo” people are enriched with selfishness beyond the imagination.

A significant problem is the few healthy and lazy, unabiding pathetics that take the assigned parking area for handicap patrons. Handicap parking thieves. It’s annoying like a “one to many” drunk in a bar beating your ear red with disturbing conversation. These particularly healthy individuals need to be corrected with the established fine of the 300 dollar penalty. They stink in the nostrils of respect. You would like to physically confront their absolute illiteracy, but consider it not the appropriate manner to alleviate your anger (Old Testament; Ecclesiastes 7:9), “Do not be quick to anger, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.”

There may be instances that a disabled individual doesn’t have a handicap placard available or they need to be dropped off by a family member in wait to fulfill their shopping needs. This is acceptable, but a circumstance of rarity. In most cases, it’s a matter of dishonorable “bonehead” attitude. A prehistoric Jurassic raw-minded attitude. They’re not just breaking one law, but all laws. Laws are a lot more than words you put on signage. It’s everything people with a conscience have ever found out about what’s right and wrong. It’s the very conscience of humanity. There can’t be any such thing as civilization unless people have a conscience. Having a “handicapped brain” doesn’t grant the privilege to park in these designated spaces. Handicap parking is specifically for physical disability as opposed to mental (I’ll do as I please.) You don’t need a good education to understand rules. You need good common sense. Some people have a good education, but no common sense.

That’s the trouble with society and the principal reason people can’t get along. With patience and a blessed miracle of people working together and respecting one another, society would be heavenly. Don’t hold your breath!

Recently, an incident in Florida resulted in a man’s death concerning a handicap parking violation. The man was fatally shot because of his violation of parking in a handicap space. He was a healthy able bodied young man with no indication of handicap signage. He was confronted about the wrong-doing. The senseless irrational man in violation of the handicap law hit and shoved the perturbed man to the ground. The distressed man feeling threatened with serious harm pulled a firearm from his waistband and fired a fatal shot at the violator. Florida law allows the firing of a weapon when threatened by serious harm. Abide by the rules of law and avoid a ticket and physical harm.

A precise and meaningful saying, “A fool and their ignorance are soon disciplined. A foolish consistency are the narrow-minded morons.” I’m in full support of the man firing the fatal shot. A proverb used by William Shakespeare, “All’s well that ends well.” Problems that occur along the way do not matter as long as the outcome is favorable. Play by the rules and avoid grief. People are quick to discuss the misfortunes of others. Others may think twice about misusing handicap parking spaces.

Myself having blood circulatory leg thrombosis find it disturbingly unbearable not having conveniently privileged parking available due to neglectful people with a slothful problem of default. My “Golden Rule” is, “Do unto others as you feel they deserve.” Get disrespect, give disrespect. You can’t love and hug someone because of their negligence of respect. Their appetite for dishonesty only proves immorality of mind. You do your very best to follow the path of God, but find it difficult dealing with these individuals. Leviticus; Old Testament, 19:18, “You shall not take vengeance or bear grudge against your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.” Consider this quite impossible when dealing with asinine people.
