Bigam, Orndorff combine on shutout in Mill Run’s 8-0 win
Beau Bigam and Tanner Orndoff combined on a five-hit shutout Thursday night in Mill Run’s 8-0 Fayette County Baseball League road victory over Sewickley Twp.
Bigam allowed five hits in five innings with five strikeouts and no walks. Orndorff pitched two hitless innings.
Bigam was also solid at the plate with two hits, a run and RBI. Cade Warrick drove in three runs on two hits and scored two runs. Jonathan Kelly scored three runs.
Mill Run (2-0) led 2-0 after the first inning. The lead grew to 5-0 after four innings and 8-0 in the sixth inning.
WBAC 7, Pechin 5 – Parker Lind pitched four scoreless innings in relief of starter.Josh Davison and WBAC scored the game-deciding runs in the top of the eighth inning for a Fayette County Baseball League road victory.
Colton Brightwell’s double drove in Colby Simmons and Dom von Fradenburgh in the top of the eighth inning.
Pechin led 3-0 after two innings and 5-3 after four innings. WBAC (1-2-1) tied the game with two runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Lind struck out seven and walked four for the win.
Michael Coll and von Fradenburgh both had three hits for WBAC.
Noah Matthews took the loss for Pechin. He also doubled and drove in three runs.
