Lady Raiders down visiting EF in four sets
Elizabeth Forward tied the Section 3-AAA match, but Uniontown rallied to win the next two sets for a home victory on Tuesday.
The Lady Raiders won the first set, 25-20, and secured the victory with wins in the final two sets, 25-23 and 25-22. The Lady Warriors won the second set, 25-23.
Maggie Campbell led the way for Uniontown with 18 assists, four digs, six kills and five aces. Ava Livingood had a solid all-around effort with nine kills, seven digs, three blocks and two assists. Lexi Humbertson had 10 digs. Khloe Burnworth (6 digs), Lauren White (4 kills, 3 digs), Lyric McLee (7 kills, 5 digs, 2 aces, 2 assists), Khloey Wakefield (2 aces, 2 blocks), and Ryleigh Jones (9 digs, 3 kills, 2 blocks, 3 aces) also contributed in the victory.
Thomas Jefferson 3, Laurel Highlands 1 – Laurel Highlands extended the Section 3-AAA road match by winning the third set, but the Lady Jaguars rallied in the fourth set for the home win.
Thomas Jefferson won the first two sets and Laurel Highlands won the third set, 25-21. The Lady Jaguars clinched the win by taking the fourth set, 25-15.
Sara Reed had 25 assists and eight digs for Laurel Highlands. Alexandra Mattey had a double-double with 13 digs and 18 kills. Jayna Fabrey finished with 18 digs and three kills.
Albert Gallatin 3, Belle Vernon 0 – The Lady Colonials swept past visiting Belle Vernon for a Section 3-AAA win.
Albert Gallatin won by the scores, 25-13, 26-24, 25-18.
Mia Meyers led the Lady Colonials with 25 assists, seven aces, four kills and two blocks. Leah Myers had 11 kills and five digs. Mikayla Shea and Mya Glisan both had five kills.
Waynesburg Central 3, Washington 0 – The Lady Raiders kept rolling through the season with a Section 3-AA home victory.
Waynesburg won by the scores, 25-9, 25-8, 25-9. The Lady Raiders improved to 13-0 in the section and 16-0 overall.
Bailey Rafferty (15 assists, 4 aces, 5 digs), Mikaylynn Good (3 kills, 4 aces, 2 digs), and Aidan Snyder (2 kills, 3 aces, 2 digs) celebrated Senior Night. Railey Bochna finished with a team-high 10 kills. Bailey Rafferty finished with 15 assists, four aces and five digs.
Burgettstown 3, Brownsville 0 – Burgettstown swept by the Lady Falcons for a Section 3-AA home win by the scores, 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.
Charleroi 3, Bentworth 0 – The Lady Cougars swept past visiting Bentworth for a Section 3-AA win.
Charleroi won by the scores, 25-14, 25-23, 25-19.
Olivia Telegraphis had 14 digs for the Lady Bearcats. Nora Lindley finished with eight kills. Zoie McDonald had a team-high 14 assists.
Jefferson-Morgan 3, Mapletown 1 – The Lady Rockets won the last two sets for a Section 3-A road victory.
Jefferson-Morgan (4-5, 8-9) won the first set, 25-21, and the last two, 25-20 and 25-12. Mapletown (1-8, 2-11) took the second set, 25-23.
Leighana Gooden led the Lady Rockets with 14 assists and seven digs. Alisa Long had 14 digs and nine kills. Isabelle Bazzoli contributed eight kills and two blocks.
Carmichaels 3, West Greene 2 – The Lady Mikes won the first, third and fifth sets for a Section 3-A road win.
Carmichaels had sets wins of 25-22, 25-23 and 15-10. West Greene won the second set, 25-17, and fourth set, 25-22.
Ashton Batis (14 digs, 3 aces, 2 assists), Pacey Pratt (13 digs, 6 kills, 1 ace, 1 block), Bailey Barnyak (14 digs, 16 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces), Brenna Walker (6 kills), Giana Colarusso (6 kills), and Reese Marzo (7 digs, 3 kills, 27 assists) all contributed in the Lady Mikes’ win.

Waynesburg Central 3, Greensburg Salem 1 – Brendan Cole’s 10th goal of the season in the second half was the deciding score in the Raiders’ Section 4-AA home victory.
The Raiders’ Blake Tennant set up Dylan Pester for the lone goal of the first half. Pester assisted on Cole’s goal.
Owen Haught scored an insurance goal on a penalty kick with about 15 minutes left in the second half.
Greensburg Salem scored a goal on a penalty kick in the final minute.
Mount Pleasant 3, Charleroi 2, OT – Jarett Garn converted Aidan Johnson’s assist for the match-winning goal in overtime in the Vikings’ Section 4-AA road victory.
Garn and Tyke Snyder scored in regulation for Mount Pleasant (12-2, 13-5). Grayson Gardner made five saves in the win.
Caleb Amaroso and Otis McIntyre scored in the first half for the Cougars (13-1, 14-1).
Bentworth 2, West Mifflin 0 – Ryan Moessner scored two goals in the first half as the undefeated Bearcats closed the season on a winning note.
Bentworth finished the regular season with an overall mark of 15-0.
Billy Moyer and Dillan Colbert assisted on the goals.
Penn-Trafford 3, Belle Vernon 0 – The Leopards were shut out in a Section 3-AAA loss to Penn-Trafford.
Belle Vernon finished with a 3-7 record and an overall mark of 7-9.
Seton-La Salle 1, Elizabeth Forward 0 – Seton-La Salle edged the Warriors for a Section 3-AA win.
Gavin McMahon scored the lone goal for Seton-La Salle (11-1-1, 12-3-1). Elizabeth Forward finished the regular season with an 11-1-1 section record and overall mark of 12-3-1.
Southmoreland 5, Yough 3 – Ethan Kenney scored two goals in the Scotties’ Section 4-AA victory over the Cougars.
Jack Smith, Liam Smith and Hunter Ryan all scored one goal for Southmoreland (8-5, 10-7).
Yough finished with a section record of 5-8-1 and an overall mark of 5-11-1.
