The Class of 2025 will be recognized on Friday, Sept. 5 when the Red Raiders host Brownsville at Bill Power Stadium in a pregame ceremony, and will be officially inducted at the high school auditorium the following morning after a brunch in the cafeteria beginning at 9:45 a.m.

In addition to the Red Raiders’ WPIAL title team, which advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals and finished the season with a 27-1 record, individual inductees will be Cody J. Helmick under Vocational Technology, Emile D. Etheridge Sr. under Special Recognition, Vincent Gregory “Oz” Ostrosky, Judge William J. Franks and Dr. Mary Agnes “Maggie” Braun under Academics, Jim Burns Jr., Jocelyn Chandler and Dr. Harry E. Hartman under Athletics, and Erika Stanish, Joanie Brittingham and Tiffany Gleason Fluhme under Arts.

Tickets are $30 for the brunch and the induction ceremony and can be purchased by contacting Hall of Fame Board Chairman Tony Mercadante at 301-643-1499 or via email at acmerc@msn.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Mercadante commended all of the Hall of Fame members.

“Our Hall of Fame is very unique,” Mercadante said. “How may high school hall of fames have an astronaut who went up into space (Robert Joseph Cenker who flew on NASA’s Space Shuttle in 1986) or an athlete who was an All-American in two different sports (Ron Sepic in football and basketball), or a superintendent who worked for over 10 years free to the district (Dr. Charles D. Machesky), or the winningest coach in WPIAL history (Jim Render with 406 wins), or a great sports editor who worked at the Herald-Standard for 40 years (Tod Trent)?

“There are also so many family connections in our Hall of Fame, brothers, and fathers and their sons and daughters. We’re very lucky and fortunate to have all of these types of people in our Hall of Fame and it’s not an accident. Uniontown is a breeding ground for great history.”

Following are capsules on the Class of 2025 as provided by the Hall of Fame:
