Trio of Colonials rush for 100 yards in win over Eagles

Adam Pegg, Tee Guesman and Bronx Jamison each rushed for over 100 yards as Albert Gallatin rolled past visiting Hedgesville of Maryland, 40-14, on senior night and breast awareness night in York Run.

The Colonials, one of four Fayette County independent teams, improved to 8-0 and extended their winning streak to 11 games stemming back to last season. It’s the longest current winning streak of any southwestern Pennsylvania high school football team.

Pegg had 17 carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns, quarterback Jamison followed with 10 carries for 141 yards and a score and Guesman ran 12 times for 101 yards and three TDs.

Albert Gallatin ran the ball 49 times of its 50 plays and produced 491 rushing yards.

Guesman ran for all three of his touchdowns in the first half as the Colonials took a 27-0 lead. He scored on runs of 19 and 21 yards in the first quarter which ended with AG ahead 12-0.

In the second quarter Jamison scored on a 29-yard run and Guesman ran for a 6-yard touchdown.

Pegg extended the lead to 33-0 with a 25-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

The Eagles (0-6) got on the board with 2:55 left in the frame on Chaz Milburn’s 2-yard TD run.

Pegg’s second touchdown came on an 11-yard run with 9:40 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Hedgesville scored on a 20-yard pass from Milburn to Cameron Webb with 49 seconds left in the game.

The Colonials wore special breast awareness uniforms with pink accents for the game.
