Local roundup: Connellsville snaps losing skid with win at AG

Dylan Shallenberger recorded a hat trick to help Connellsville snap an 11-match losing streak with a season-ending 6-0 victory at Albert Gallatin in non-section boys soccer action Wednesday.
Jace Gratchis added two goals for the Falcons (3-14-1). William Gillott also scored.
Goalkeeper Hunter Brown notched the shutout for Connellsville.
The Colonials finish with a 2-16 record.
Chartiers-Houston 1, Waynesburg Central 0 — Shane English knocked in the only goal of the match to give the host Buccaneers (10-7) a non-section win over the Raiders (4-10-2).
Girls soccer
Waynesburg Central 6, Charleroi 0 – Kolbi Rastoka rang up two goals and two assists in the Lady Raiders’ non-section win over the host Cougars (1-15).
Playoff-bound Waynesburg (8-4-2) also got two goals and an assist from Emily Raferty, a goal and a pair of assists from Rylei Rastoda and a goal and an assist from Tess Pauley.
Goalkeeper Peyton Cowell was credited with the shutout.
Connellsville 8, California 1 — Addison Bandemer had a hat trick and Avery Lape and Gianna Shelkey added two goals apiece as the Lady Falcons defeated California in a non-section match to wrap up their season with consecutive wins at Falcon Stadium.
Ava Mizikar also scored a goal for Connellsville. Goalkeeper Sarah Tinkey was credited with the win.
The Lady Trojans finished with a 3-11 record.
Brownsville 5, Serra Catholic 0 — The Lady Falcons (12-4-2) tuned up for the WPIAL soccer playoffs by blanking visiting Serra Catholic (7-9) in a non-section match.
Carlynton 4, Beth-Center 0 — Riley Mauro scored three goals as the Lady Cougars shut out the visiting Lady Bulldogs (6-10) in a non-section match.
Sophia O’Brien added a goal and a pair of assists for Carlynton (10-7-1).
