Oakland defeats Mill Run, 7-1

Oakland made the most of its four hits to defeat visiting Mill Run, 7-1, in Fayette County Baseball League action on Thursday.
Easton Rhoten and winning pitcher Rhett Sensabaugh each had a single, a run and an RBI and Mason Everhart tripled and also scored a run for the Oaks (6-7), who were out-hit 10-4.
Sensabaugh, one of four pitchers used by Oakland, pitched two scoreless innings.
Cody Jefferys also had an RBI for the Oaks.
Hunter Smiley and Marc Prinkey each had two hits for the Millers, who also got a triple from Colby Simmons and a double from Cade Warrick who scored his team’s lone run on a single by Luke Warrick in the seventh inning.
Zack Knabenshue took the loss.

BELLE VERNON 11, POTOMAC VALLEY 11 — Vito Francia homered and drove in three runs and JB Crovak was 4 for 4 with two RBIs for Belle Vernon (9-1-1) but Potomac Valley rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to forge a tie.
Joseph Vincell had two doubles, a single and four RBIs for Potomac, which also got three hits apiece from Blake Jacobs and Lanson Orndorf and two hits from Jaxon Hare.
Potomac trailed 11-5 going into its final at-bat before combining a double by Landon Tysinger, singles by Hare, Lucas Williamson, Slade, Orndorf and Jacobs and two walks together in a six-run outburst.
