Joselyn Carter’s run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh not only gave Carmichaels (15-4) a 1-0 non-section softball victory over Greene County rival Waynesburg Central (6-11) but also clinched another no-hitter from Mikes ace Bailey Barnyak on Tuesday.

Carys McConnell led off the bottom of the seventh with a single, took second on an error and scored on Carter’s single into right field for the walk-off win.

Barnyak didn’t allow a hit nor walk while striking out 14.

Tough-luck losing pitcher Gina Tedrow gave up just four hits and the one unearned run with no walks and 12 strikeouts.

BROWNSVILLE 16, MONESSEN 4 – Ava Clark had three hits, including a home run, two RBIs and was the winning pitcher in the Lady Falcons’ five-inning non-section win over the Lady Greyhounds (7-11).

Clark surrendered two hits and struck out 10.

Lena Rechichar, Tavan Ternitsky and Zaydee Downer each doubled and singled for Brownsville (10-7), which also got two hits apiece from Jordyn Davis, Emma Leigh Bailey and Paityn Thomas.

JEFFERSON-MORGAN 11, FORT CHERRY 5 – Kelsey Vessels knocked in three runs as the Lady Rockets triumphed over the Lady Rangers (3-9) in a non-section game.

Kallyn Novak and Addalei Larkin each had two hits and an RBI for Jefferson-Morgan (14-5).

WEST GREENE 9, CLAY-BATTELLE 1 – Kendra Tharp knocked in three runs with a home run and two singles as the Lady Pioneers topped Clay-Battelle in a non-section game.

Winning pitcher Caitlin Whyte tossed a four-hitter with no walks and 10 strikeouts and had two hits and an RBI.

Madelyn Roberts was 4 for 5 with an RBI, Emmaline Beazell had two hits and two RBIs and Sammie Zimmerman had three hits, including a double, for West Greene (12-6), which also got a double and a single from Katie Brudnock.

CHARTIERS VALLEY 16, BELLE VERNON 9 – Emily Bird had two doubles and four RBIs but the Lady Leopards lost to Charties Valley (3-11) in a non-section game.

Brook Hugland had a double, single and two RBIs and Paisley also doubled and singled for Belle Vernon (8-11), which also got two hits from Addy Newman and a single and two RBIs from Ava Jones.

LATROBE 16, ALBERT GALLATIN 8 – Ellie Seese had a double, single and an RBI and Mackenzie Chapman also had two hits and an RBI but the Lady Colonials dropped a non-section game to the Wild Cats (10-8).

Kylee Augustine and Bella Lukehart both had a single and an RBI for Albert Gallatin (1-16), which also got a double from Mikayla Shea.

NORTH ALLEGHENY 3, CONNELLSVILLE 2 – Kalyn Cole had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in both Lady Falcons runs but Connellsville (12-7) lost to North Allegheny (5-12) in a non-section game.

SOUTH FAYETTE 3, FRAZIER 2 – Emma Essington had a triple and an RBI for the Lady Commodores (11-8) in a non-section loss to the Lady Eagles (10-8).

PENN-TRAFFORD 12, MOUNT PLEASANT 3 – Kendall Waters drove in two of the Lady Vikings’ three runs but Mount Pleasant (13-3) fell to the Lady Warriors (16-3) in a non-section game.
