AG girls edge Thomas Jefferson, 3-2

Caileigh Theodori’s brace and Ellie Seese’s play in net helped lead Albert Gallatin to a 3-2 victory over Thomas Jefferson in girls Section 3-3A action on Thursday at Albert Gallatin High School Stadium in York Run.

Isabella Dehaven also scored for the Colonials (1-0-0, 2-1-0).

Theodori also added an assist and Jaelle Plum had a helper for the home team. Seese made 10 saves.

Albert Gallatin returns to section play on Monday at Elizabeth Forward (1-0-0, 2-2-0). The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

BROWNSVILLE 10, SOUTH ALLEGHENY 0 — Avianna Hernandez and Gloria Kovscek each had a hat trick and an assist in the Falcons’ victory over the Gladiators in Section non-section play at Redstone Field in Republic.

Brownsville’s Ellie Haddad had a brace and one assist. Teammates Addy Brown and Lexxi Gregg had one goal apiece.

Ava Rohland made seven saves and also assisted on two tallies. The Falcons’ Harper Rankin and Taven Ternitsky added helpers.

The defense of Addison Burnsworth, Blair Long, Brown, Kovscek and Paityn Thomas was also responsible for Brownsville shutout.

The Falcons improved to 6-0 this season.

BOYS SOCCER

UNIONTOWN 10, ALBERT GALLATIN 0 — Braylon Woods’ hat trick was more than enough scoring for the Red Raiders in a Section 2-3A win over the Colonials at Albert Gallatin High School Football Stadium in York Run.

Uniontown (1-0-0, 3-0-0) had seven more single goal scorers in Josh Paris, Judah Anthony, Kiptyn Gimtter, Bolton Holmes, Lucas Campbell, Ty Harvey and Wyatt Harvey.

Woods chipped in with an assist.

Noah Holland and Lucas Mihalko combined for the clean sheet.

Uniontown will travel to Baldwin (1-0-0, 1-2-0) this afternoon at 1 p.m in non-section play before the cross-town rivalry at Laurel Highlands (0-1-0, 0-3-0) on Tuesday in a section match at Bill Power Stadium.

DERRY 4, BROWNSVILLE 2 — The Falcons’ Landyn Bachinski and Evan Golden found the back of the net, but the Trojans had too much fire powering in earning a section victory.

Jordan Incorvia set up Bachinski’s tally and Early Degayo had an apple on Golden’s marker.

Brownsville’s Camden Kline stopped eight shots.

The Falcons dropped to 0-2-0 in section play and 1-4-0 overall.

Derry improved to 1-1-0 in league action and 2-1-0 across all competitions.
