Connellsville man charged with aggravated assault

A Connellsville man is accused of pointing a loaded handgun at a woman after starting an argument with her. Christopher Harshman, 27, was arrested after police responded to a disturbance call on the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue shortly after noon Friday. The complaint said Harshman had begun arguing with Hannah Koontz as she was sitting in her vehicle. As two others came to intervene, Harshman then pointed a gun at Michaelene Koontz, court documents said. James Beal, the father of Hannah Koontz’s boyfriend, pulled out his gun in self-defense, while Kevin Koontz punched Harshman in the face and disarmed him, according to the complaint.
