NY man charged with theft, deceptive business practices

A New York man is accused of taking more than $13,000 in payment from a Fayette County couple without delivering the farm equipment they purchased. Charges of deceptive business practices and theft by deception were filed Friday against Scott Breveleri in Judge Daniel Shimshock’s court. Breveleri, 29, of Champlain, N.Y., had been hauling equipment to Christopher and Linda Diamond’s home in Nicholson Township in June 2025 when he told them they could order additional items through his company, according to the criminal complaint. Uniontown teen charged with aggravated assault

A Uniontown teen was arrested Friday night after allegedly threatening to kill officers who responded to the parking lot where he was waiting. Shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, Uniontown police were notified that Zachary Welda, 19, had homicidal thoughts and was going to stab or kill police if they responded to 34 Millview St., where he was waiting in the parking lot.
