The Greater Uniontown Chorale has started practice for its spring concerts. The group meets Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 79 W. Fayette St., Uniontown. For more information, contact the chorale through its Facebook page.
The African American History & Cultural Center of Fayette County, Pa. is sponsoring a free workshop called Storytelling and Community Archiving at East End United Community Center, 150 Coolspring St., Uniontown on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop will discuss the importance of community storytelling, preserving history through archival development and provide ways to collaborate with members of the community to engage them in storytelling. The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food For Falcons food program is collecting fruit snack/fruit roll-ups, Chapstick, and macaroni and cheese bowls in February. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church.

Lenten Worship Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19 at St. Cecilia Church, 1571 Grindstone Road, Grindstone; and on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Allison First Church of the Nazarene, 416 Vernon Street, Allison. Both start at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on the Brownsville Area Ministerial Association Facebook page. Services will be canceled if Brownsville Area School District closes or dismisses early due to inclement weather.

Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring “Loads of Love” at the Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.

Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. The food bank will be open on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Stepping Stones Bereavement Support will begin the spring program on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown. The non-denominational program is open to newly bereaved persons as well as those still dealing with a loss. There is no cost to participate. The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the club building, 433 Old Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown. Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
