7-year-old boy dies after being hit by vehicle in Greene County

A 7-year-old Greene County boy has died from his injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon. According to the Greene County coroner's report, the boy, Wilson Churilla, of Greensboro, was walking westbound across state Route 88 in Monongahela Township, Greene County. He was hit by a Honda HRV driven by a 92-year-old man around 4:30 p.m. Churilla was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:06 p.m. The driver was not identified. Pennsylvania State Police said the investigation into the accident is ongoing. No other information was available as of press time.

Man dies in wrong-way crash in Bullskin Township

A wrong-way crash on Route 982 in Bullskin Township, Fayette County, on Friday left one man dead, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The driver, David Lancaster, 50, of Mount Pleasant, died at the scene, according to the Fayette County coroner's office. Police said the 4 p.m. accident happened as Lancaster was rounding a curve at around 4 p.m. and his vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Police are investigating the accident.
