Monongahela man arrested following multi-county police chase

A Monongahela man is behind bars in Fayette County after an alleged police chase resulted in injuries to two police officers early Saturday morning. Frank Cope Jr., 54, is facing 20 charges including felony aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension and criminal mischief following an alleged police chase that began in North Strabane Township in Washington County around 1 a.m. and ended with Cope’s arrest in Fayette County, according to court documents.
