Connellsville woman charged with aggravated arson

A Connellsville woman is accused of intentionally setting a fire at her home in May while other people were inside. Allie Ritenour, 35, was charged Friday with aggravated arson-person inside property; arson endangering property; criminal mischief, and recklessly endangering another person in connection with the May 3 fire. A neighbor told police Ritenour had run into the residence at 219A North 10th St. after arriving with her boyfriend minutes before the fire was reported at 1:46 p.m. Five to seven minutes later, the neighbor told police, the house was engulfed in flames, according to charging documents. Waynesburg man charged with aggravated assault

Police are seeking a Waynesburg man accused of injuring several people Sunday night after backing his car into a garage while allegedly drunk. Witnesses told Waynesburg police that James Roach, 35, had been asked to leave a gathering at 310 E. Lincoln St. before backing his Jeep Grand Cherokee into the garage shortly after 7 p.m. Stacey Lewis, who was standing near the garage entrance, was hit with the back of the vehicle near the fuel tank, the complaint said. Roach then left the car, got back in, then backed up the car while Lewis was underneath, court documents stated. He then put the car in drive and headed out. Applications for the 2027 Fayette County Tourism Grant Program became available Aug. 24.
