UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital has been named the second-best hospital in Pennsylvania in U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings. The hospital also was named the best in the Pittsburgh metropolitan region, and earned national rankings in 10 areas, including cancer, psychiatry, and rheumatology treatment.
