Fayette County commissioners OK energy audit

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Thursday to enter into an agreement for a comprehensive assessment of county facilities to see where their energy efficiency could be improved. The audit agreement with the Harrisburg-based McClure Company will look at potential energy conservation measures and infrastructure improvements, as well as project costs and potential savings, according to materials provided by the board. The county will not incur any expenses from the audit at this time, according to the contract approved Thursday.
