Man who filmed woman in UPMC Greene bathroom gets probation

A UPMC Greene employee who used his cellphone to secretly film inside a women’s restroom at the hospital was sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty Wednesday. Under the plea agreement, Daniel Rose, 46, of Vestaburg, must also perform 50 hours of community service, continue mental health treatment, and pay a $1,000 fine. He is also barred from contact with the victim. “I somewhat reluctantly accept the plea agreement … this is highly concerning behavior,” said Greene County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jeffry Grimes. The communities of McDonald and Mt. Pleasant Township will take the next step in merging their police departments next week, though the unified agency is likely still months away from operating. The Northern Washington County Police Department Commission will hold its first meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 20 at 31 McCarrell Road, Mt. Pleasant Township. The commission comprises Mt. Man sentenced for role in concealing body of overdose victim

A Uniontown man was sentenced to six to 12 months in prison last week for tampering with physical evidence in connection with the disposal of a body of a Fayette county woman who died of an overdose in 2022. Joseph Lockett, 40, was released after the sentencing, having spent 1,136 days in custody. He was arrested in October 2022, shortly after state police found the body of Keisha Hottinger, 26, in a wooded area near Old Braddock Road in North Union Township. Hottinger’s mother had declared her missing two weeks earlier.
