Fayette County man accused of soliciting naked images of 13-year-old

A Fayette County man is accused of soliciting naked photos and videos from an underage girl and exchanging hundreds of explicit texts with her. The 13-year-old girl told police she had been communicating with Nicholas Bane, 19, of Merrittstown, on Snapchat for about two years. The conversations were found by the girl’s guardian in April as she was going through the girl’s phone, according to the criminal complaint. Police reviewed more than 700 messages between the two, most sexual in nature, court documents stated. In an interview with police in May, Bane said he had thought the girl was 14. The former director of a youth football league in the Pittsburgh area is accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands from the organization over the past several years.
