Farmington man sentenced to prison on federal child porn charges

A Farmington man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to federal charges for distributing child pornography was sentenced to nearly six years in prison. Nathan Fike, 41, will serve 70 months in federal prison followed by 10 years on supervised release as part of the sentence imposed Thursday by U.S. District Judge Marilyn Horan at the federal courthouse in Pittsburgh. Fike pleaded guilty in March to distribution of a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. Monessen School District is considering a remote start to the 2026-27 school year as the district continues to address fungal growth that was found on water-damaged building materials inside its middle school and high school buildings last month.
